ONE DAY SAFARIS

1 DAY TRIP - Marangu Gate (6000 ft) – Mandara Hut (9,000 ft)

Ascent hiking time: 3 - 4 hours
Habitat: Montane forest

After breakfast and briefing, drive to the Marangu Gate (about 45 minutes). After registration at the park gate, begin hiking through rainforest from the park gate to Mandara Hut This takes about 3 to 4 hours. There is a stop half way for lunch. Reach Mandara Hut early in the afternoon. After a short tour at the hut, start descending to Marangu gate. You will reach the gate later in the afternoon. A side trip to Maundi Crater (about 15 minutes away) is a good way to see the surrounding area as well as the views of Kenya and Northern Tanzania. Return to Moshi in the late afternoon. Overnight at Kindoroko Hotel.

Relaxing day trip to Nyumba ya Mungu dam/cultural tour

After breakfast drive to Nyumba ya Mungu dam. Begin your cultural tour around the village. Learn their way of fishing and smoking the fish. After the cultural tour You take a picnic lunch ( barbeque ) by the picnic site near the lake. After lunch take a serene walk on the beautiful shores of the lake , rich with bird life( on a clear day you can get nice views of Mt Kilimanjaro), or do a little fishing and for adventurous visitors can make an excursion in a canoes. In the evening dinner and overnight at Nyumba ya Mungu campsite/ lodge.

1 DAY. Game Drive to Manyara / Tarangire National park.

In the morning drive to Manyara/Tarangire National Park.
Do a game drive, later in the Afternoon drive back to Moshi or Arusha.
