Pangani Beaches

Pangani is a small town in East Africa’s coast that was 50 kms South of Tanga where  the Pangani River which flows from Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru. Just outside the town, it boasts for it’s  quiet long white beaches, decorated with palm trees, with no or few people in sight. It is also a good place for cultural visits.

Pangani offers  a coastline with clean white beaches that are mostly empty with a few local fishermen onsite making it a unique place for a calm tour where one will enjoy clean water and white sand beaches and friendly people.

North of Pangani Beach

The beach stretches for  20 km with clear white sand studded with tall palm trees. At low tide, the sea is far out making it ideal for long walks on the beach.

Ushongo Beach

The beautiful Ushongo Bay is about 15km south of Pangani river.Coming from the North, you have to take the ferry to cross the river. The beach at Ushongo is  wide and long, making it a great spot for long beach walks. Since the tides are not strong, you can swim all day. The beach is protected by three reefs, the furthest one with excellent snorkeling and scuba diving.
